MetroCity is a well-known tile manufacturer in India, who has been enjoying a remarkablebrand name in the ceramic industry of India for their high quality woodenstyled ceramic tiles, which are exported to the high-end markets in Europe andthe United States for many years. Obviously, the customer requires topmostquality for both equipment and service in their new kiln project.
Thekiln supplied to Metro City is a custom-made narrow body roller kiln specializedfor the production of wooden design ceramic tiles according to the uniquenessof the high-end house decoration markets in the western countries. The kiln featuresthe advantages of wide range for temperature regulation, low energy consumptionand high level of automation. The currently-running sizes of tiles start from150×900mm to 200×1000mm and 200×1400mm until 450×1400mm.
Inaddition to the core technology of DMA movement control system and KHI updatedinsulation system, the kiln is also equipped with DHR heat recovery system whichis DLT’s patented technology, with energy saving and environmental protectionbenefits. At present the production output is excellent and the finished productpass rate has reached a record high. The successful production not only createdgreater value for the customer, but also helped the customer to enter theEuropean and American tile markets at a higher level, for which, they have expressedtheir acknowledgement to the work team of the kiln manufacturer.
TheDFC series roller kiln supplied to Shreem Vitrified, a short distance away fromMetro City, was also put into production successfully two weeks after the ignition.With innovated technology and optimized thermal design, the high efficient andenergy-saving firing kiln can produce GVT and soluble salt tiles with sizes of600*600mm, 800*800mm and 600*1200mm.
Inorder to help achieve better energy saving result in the production, besidesthe SPR, DHR, KHI, PPC systems, the latest developed and patented technologyOCE super energy saving system is also installed on the kiln for Shreem. Thesystem effectively reduced the consumption of gas. In addition, it also has theaccurate unit gas/combustion-air ratio control system, independently adjustableair volume distribution for combustion air and adjustable control function for thesubsections. As a result, the current gas consumption is as low as only 1.0 Nm3natural gas /m2 green tile. There is still room for further reductionof gas consumption with improved thermal control in the future.
