Recently, a new type of kiln compensation system,First-come-first-go Compensator, successfully passed the final testing andassessment at DLT’smanufacture base in Foshan. It is a 100% independentlydeveloped new productof DLT specially designed forlarge sizedceramic tilestorage. Compared with conventional kiln compensators, the first-come-first-gocompensator requires no underground foundation, and realizessuch afunction thatthe tiles which have entered the compensator earlierare accordingly releasedfrom the compensator earlier.
The work principle of the new type of compensatoris by using a number of movable modular trays, an elevator and a box-shapedcage to receive, carry and storetiles. The system includes a tile feedingtable, a tray working table, an elevator, a tray extractor, a horizontal mover,a number of trays and a box-shaped cage.
Its work process is as the following: first, thetray extractor draws an empty tray out of the cage, and then the elevator whichholds the tray descends until the tray is under the tray working table while thefirst layer of the tray matches the level of the tile feeding table. Then theroller table sends the tiles into the tray. When the first layer of tray isfull, the elevator ascends until the second layer of tray matches the tilefeeding table, and the second layer of tray starts to take in tiles until it isfull. And then the elevator goes further up until the third layer of traymatches the tile feeding table andtakes in tiles. When all the three layers oftray have received enough tiles, the elevator goes up to the level from wherethe tray has come and the tray extractor puts the loaded tray back into thecage. The extractor then picks upanother empty tray andthe whole process asabovedescribed repeats. To release the tiles from the cage, the machine selectsthe earliest loaded tray, takes it out of cage and delivers the tiles back tothe feeding table as in a reverse cycle.
Theadvantages of the new type of compensator are
1. First come first go.Compared with conventionalcompensators, the first-come-first-go compensator can intelligently select thetiles which have been stored for the longest time in the cageand return themback to the line. Thus the tiles will not be stored overtime and get cold. Thebreakage of tile will beconsequently reduced.
2. Larger capacity. The first-come-first-gocompensator’s maximum tile storage capacityis 600 square meters, much more thanthat of a conventional compensator in the currentmarket.
3. No foundation required. While increasing thestorage capacity, the first-come-first-go compensator doesn’t require anunderground foundation. The whole machine is above the ground level.
4. No extra investment. For the same total storagecapacity, the first-come-first-go compensators do not costmorethan theconventional compensators.
There is nodoubt that more and more customers will prefer the first-come-first-gocompensator in the future. Being aware of its responsibilities for the ceramicindustry, DLT will never stop its stepsin exploration and innovation.
